Entertainment News:Now that he’s been fired from acting on the show, Charlie Sheen is making pitches like a producer and writer.
Sheen took to the radio to discuss the future of “Two and a Half Men,” on Wednesday, talking replacements and script options, should the series continue on. Turns out, he liked the sound of the rumors that CBS was reaching out to Rob Lowe to fill the now-empty slot.“He’s a buddy of mine, he’s a beautiful man, a brilliant actor, and I hope he does it and kicks its ass because I still get [paid],” Sheen told K-Earth 101, a radio station in Los Angeles.
Sheen is insisting on receiving payment for the rest of this season and the entirety of the next, citing his contract and saying that he was fired illegally. He has threatened to sue to make that happen.
Sheen also mused on how a replacement would work — he recommended any new star make this show his own — and wondered how the show would introduce the new actor.
“I don’t even know if they would call the [character] ‘Charlie’ anymore … how does the show transition?” he asked Dan Patrick, on his radio show, in another interview. “Do you have Chuck [Lorre], that silly sad troll, do you have him talk in the camera and say, ‘Here’s what happened’ and then Rob Lowe comes out? Or do they just do it, without explaining it, and hope no one notices?”
