Tesla and Toyota RAV4 electric work

Tesla Motors's experience with electric vehicles has stimulated the interest of some automakers. The Daimler Group was the first, and not to lose time, as soon bought 10% stake in U.S. company. The newest interested in knowledge of the brand now is Toyota, which this week signed a partnership agreement with the maker of electric sports roadster for developing an electric version of the RAV4 SUV.

According to a report from Japanese manufacturer, the final version of the car adapted to engine powered by lithium-ion batteries will reach the U.S. market in 2012. Until that happens, companies will already ahead later this year with research prototypes with alternative RAV4, which will run tests on U.S. roads. Technical information about the vehicle, however, have not been disclosed.
