Alain Prost secured second place in the 2009/2010 Trophée Andros which came to close on Saturday, January 31, in the French ski resort, Super Besse.
The Dacia's Trophée Andros debut was a resounding success, harvesting a score of three wins in addition to the overall runner-up crown.
The competition version of Dacia Duster which contested the Trophée Andros provided the brand with an opportunity to reveal the styling of the sixth model type that will shortly join its line-up.
The road car of the same name is a robust and reliable 4x4 which has a truly international calling.
It targets customers who want an all-terrain vehicle they can use on an everyday basis, while at the same time delivering an unbeatable equipment, performance and interior space package for its price. Dacia Duster, which is available in 4x2 and 4x4 form, will be introduced progressively across Europe, Turkey, Africa and the Middle East from the end of March, 2010.
The Dacia brand has enjoyed a flying start to the New Year in France, combining its achievements in motor sport with success on the sales front, too. Just five years after its launch in France, Dacia has emerged as the country's sixth best-selling brand (passenger cars + LCVs), with a market share of four per cent.
