Government of Canada recently tested the Mitsubishi i-MiEV
Transport Canada will test the two electric cars in everyday conditions. These findings about ride quality, range and suitability for everyday use are collected. The results are then fed into a study on the possible uses of the vehicles and the market potential in Canada.
The Mitsubishi i-MiEV has been offered since July 2009 in Japan. The funding for this year 1400 units are already sold, a further 900 orders are available. The production of electric runabouts as LHD for Europe to launch in October 2010. The 47 kW / 64 hp four-seater is up to 130 km / h and has a range of 144 kilometers. A fast charging of the batteries is possible in just under 25 minutes. The summons shall be connected to the vehicle only to a household outlet.
