2012 Corvette could TVR power return
Nikolai Smolenski tenure as owner of TVR, the revered manufacturer before cars hairy-chested British sports, is nothing if not mocking. He bought the company from founder Peter Wheeler end when he was in trouble, do not do much with it, declared bankruptcy to eliminate your debts, then bought the company from bankruptcy. Since then there has been little news except a legal battle with a recycler TVR and a couple of tips on the use of an American V8 engine to power the car to the side of the business.
The issue has been finally decided V8: 638-hp LS9 in the Corvette. The car will go on to be called the MD-1. A new question has arisen, however, based on comments Smolenski he wants to "put an end to the era of Wheeler, once and for all." The car is all British? The MD-1 is being developed by a UK company, but Smolenski said that production could go to the continent or in South Africa with equal ease.
A German-made, American-powered TVR to remain a TVR Chimaera Griffith and how (or Tasmin shown above)? TVR fans think Smolenski not think so, but does not care much. He says: "The important thing is to stay true to your brand values" no matter where you are. The MD-1 is expected to arrive in 2012, with only 250 annually.
