Waiting to discover the new "Car of the Year", a jury of 23 motoring journalists from across Europe has elected the "Van of the Year 2010". Is the new Nissan NV200, a van of Japanese descent but assembled in Spain, the Barcelona plant. In Japan, the NV200 is a leader in its segment, as it covers 40% of sales of its market.
The new Nissan van has just debuted in the Old Continent and, at present, is available in only two engines - 1.6 16V petrol and 1.5 dCi 86 HP - and in truck and SUV body variants. In the short term, new variations are expected and a broadening of the range thrusters, to counter the strong competition from Citroen Berlingo, Fiat Doblo and the Volkswagen Caddy.
